According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (and other ancient healing traditions in Asia) vital energy flows through the twelve organs and completes one cycle every twenty-four hours. The Chinese Organ Clock shows the circadian flow of the vital energy (Qi – pronounced "Chi") through various organ systems in relation to the time of day. Each organ has maximum energy for two hours. The organ has minimum energy (or lowest flow of Qi) 12 hours later.
1 to 3pm Indicates your small intestine need some energy
3 to 5pm Indicates your bladder needs a bit of help
If your tiredness is worse in the winter, you may be suffering from SAD, A mood disorder triggered by the reduced daylight of winter. – Take a brisk midday walk. Exercise is good for renewing energy and spirit.
Another suggestion would be to do a shoulder roll. This is a great way to revitalize and relieve tension, while you are in work.
Breathe deep cleansing breaths for afternoon restoration. Pulling the air inthrough your nose
Sniff some essential oil: Rosemary, peppermint or orange peel oil. Keeping it close to you to feel quickly renewed.
Slump-busting snacks: graze don’t gorge. Eat small low fat meals 4 or 5 times a day. Try yogurt which is an ideal snack, striking a balance between carbohydrates, protein and a little fat
