What is a Meridian

Traditional Chinese Medicine uses acupuncture on MERIDIAN LINES. Bio-resonance uses MERIDIAN LINES to diagnose and correct the body's organs lack of energy. Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT (often known as Tapping or EFT Tapping), uses MERIDIAN LINES. So what is a MERIDIAN?

A MERIDIAN is a connecting line of energy, like an electrical wire

All nature has energy and examples of these energies vary: from the waves of the sea to an acorn developing into an oak tree. Similarly people display energy with their outward movements and their inner organ, chemical processes. The connection between the organs and what they manufacture are energy pathways called Meridians. This energy is the ‘Chi’, ‘qi’ or life force.

Meridians are thin lines which connect the organs by allowing the energy flow. As our bodies are electric by nature, just like an electric wire system within the body these meridian passages have a vent on the outer layer of a person’s skin.

These points have been proved by a scientific study carried out by Robert O. Becker MD, who revealed that many acupuncture points on the body have dramatically reduced electrical resistance when compared to other points on the skin adjacent to the acupuncture or meridian point.

Many treatments are based on the theory of meridians whereby the outer connection points are stimulated with: Heat, pressure or laser light

Future medicine will be based on controlling energy in the body – William Tiller, Nobel Prize Laureate

There are 14 meridians which have 361 outer points on the body’s skin.
